These rules were developed by the race organizers for the Skytona 500. There are many similarities to those for the other races, and some elements unique to this race.
GeneralRules
1. Helmets Required!! NO EXCEPTIONS! 2. You may paint your trike 3. You must sit on the seat at all times! (2 warnings will be given prior to disqualification) 4. Each racer may have a 3 person Pit Crew. 5. Wheels may not be filled with any foreign material 6. Any discrepancies will be considered by Judges 7. Each racer must have a number next to their name on the entry sheet. The number must also be displayed on the riders helmet, tricycle or clothing so it is visible to the Judges. 8. Tire rims must not exceed 17" in diameter 9. No chain drive, No gear drive, No motor. 10. Each trike entered per class will run at least 3 races (heats/prelims/finals)
Stock Class- NO modifications NO Big Wheels. Race will be 3 laps.
Modified Class- Frames may be extended to a max width of 30" from outside tire to outside tire and 51" max length from axle to axle. You may weld 2 tires on the back of your trikes (to prevent back flip). You may weld on the seat where it touches the center bar, but you cannont raise the seat higher than the trike. Frames may be extended. Max overall length is 72". Modified entrants will race 5-7 laps
Super Modified Class- Super modified trikes can not be entered in Modified or Stock class races. Frames may be extended to a max width of 30" from outside of tire to outside of tire and 51" from axle to axle. Maximum overall length is 72". Coaster wheels are allowed. Super Modified entrants will race 5-7 laps
